Easily create and maintain your roadway names inventory.
The OnSafety™ Roadway Names app is used to add, remove, and edit roadway names in a statewide LRS. The application has a number of advanced data quality checks implemented to highlight potential errors with existing roadway names. Example quality control checks include:
Admin Type Check
Checks all roadways to see if there are overlapping records with different admin types assigned.
County Limits Check
Checks to see if a county road name begin/end is close, but not at a county geometry edge.
Overlapping County Routes Check
Checks for locations where differing county routes on same Route ID overlap each other.
Urban Limits Check
Checks to see if a record begins or ends within .01 of the urban limits geometry.
City Limits Check
Checks to see if city routes where road names come within .1 mile of the city limit boundary, but the names do not match.
End Points Check
Checks to see if the first roadway name begins with a ‘from’ route mileage that is less than the minimum milepost of the total route, or if the last roadway name on the route ends with a ‘to’ route mileage that is greater than the maximum milepost of the route.
Critical Measures Check
Checks to see if the roadway name changes at a point that is not either an intersection, city/urban limit, county limit, or min/max of the route.
Contiguous Name Check
Checks to see if the roadway name record is one of two or more records of the same name, that are contiguous.
Same Name Overlap Check
Checks to see if the roadway name record is one of two or more records of the same name, that overlap.
Name Gap Check
Checks to see if a section or segment of the route adjacent to a named roadway record is unnamed.
‘From’ Greater than ‘To’ Check
Checks to see if the ‘from’ route measure is greater than the ‘to’ route measure (invalid value).
Unnamed Routes Check
Checks the LRS for unnamed routes (routes for which there are no name records at all).
Deprecated Routes Check
Checks for roadway names routes that are not (or no longer) in the current LRS, but still have name records assigned in the Roadway Names app.
